Garlic Curls

Garlic curls are the stems that grow out from the center of a garlic plant.  It is also known as a scape.  These are cut off in order to iincrease the size of a garlic bulb.  They may be chopped up and cooked like garlic.  I have frozen them for use in the winter ( just rinse and put in a freezer container).  I have also pureed them with olive oil to make a paste.  This can be used as a spread on toast, bagels, and to baste meat with.  It can also be cooked with.
